From our friends at the LaMorinda Sun comes this news of an upcoming backpack and school supply drive: The Moraga Youth Involement Committee is holding a backpack drive all month to collect backpacks as donations. The backpacks will be given to students fourth grade and younger whose families can’t afford to purchase a new backpack. Sleep Train–one of our heroes!–does an enormous amount of good for foster children all year long. They are wrapping up their back-to-school supply drive this week and over Labor Day weekend. A binder, backpack, pencils or some cool art supplies could make all the difference in the life of a foster kid.
